When I first started seeking information for a natural hemorrhoid treatment, I came across many articles that mentioned adding high amounts of fiber to your daily diet. The reason being, fiber can soften stools and create lubrication, which reduces straining.
I tried a variety of highly fibrous foods such as brown rice, oatmeal and green beans but for some reason broccoli worked the best. When increasing fiber in your diet also drink more water, otherwise it can actually worsen constipation.
Also, if you’re not into adding fibrous foods into your daily diet, powdered fiber supplements work just as well. One teaspoon of fiber supplements such as Metamucil and Citrucel can be added into your daily diet.
Besides diet changes, another great natural treatment for hemorrhoids is a hip bath. Basically, you soak your buttocks in hot saline solution salt water and compress your butt cheeks 10 to 30 times. Try to do it about 4 to 5 times a day.
I also purchased baby wipes because they are soft and don’t cause a bunch of friction that can hurt your hemorrhoids even worse. If you don’t have access to baby wipes, I suggest mixing two ounces of Geranium lavender with about an ounce of almond oil and try using that on your toilet paper before you wipe.
These are the exact steps I used early on and it did help but it didn’t cure my hemorrhoids, I kept researching and learned better ways to get rid of hemorrhoids using natural hemorrhoid treatment techniques.
